Ryan Gross – Percussion Caption Head

Ryan Gross is the Elementary Band Director at GS. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2017) in music education (K-12). This will be his third season with the Greensburg Salem Marching band as the percussion instructor. Prior to Greensburg Salem, Mr. Gross taught in the Johnsonburg Area School District for two years and performed in marching band throughout his high school and college career.

Peter Laskoski – Battery Coordinator

Peter Laskoski graduated with an Applied Mathematics degree from Pennsylvania State University. On top of his studies, Peter has spent years involved with the marching arts. He has marched with the 2017 and 2018 Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps as well as with the 2019 and 2020 Jersey Surf quad lines. Peter began his marching career here at Greensburg Salem in 2014 and graduated in 2018. While at GS, Peter served as a student tech his senior year and taught several drumline clinics. After graduating, Peter dedicated his free time to helping the drumline and eventually took on a full time staff role as an arranger and assistant caption head in 2020 at GS.

Luke Parise (he/him) – Battery Co-Coordinator, Front Ensemble Coordinator

Luke is a Senior Music major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Along with his percussion studies there, he has also marched with the Open Class independent WGI group, Cap City Percussion 2 (otherwise known as CC2). Luke graduated from Greensburg Salem in 2018, where he was a drumline section leader, front ensemble arranger/technician, and Senior Officer. In addition to teaching at GS since 2018, Luke also teaches at Homer-Center Indoor Percussion during the Winter/Spring.

Gage Redinger – Snare Drum Technician, Front Ensemble Technician
Gage Redinger is currently a freshman Music Education major at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He graduated from GS in 2021, having marched there for five years, two of which were spent as Drumline Captain and Percussion Officer. Outside of Drumline, Gage made two appearances in the Pennsylvania All-State Band in 2019 and 2020, achieving 2nd chair in percussion. 2022 will be his second season on staff, assisting with both the Drumline and the Front Ensemble.
Jonathan Buchanan – Bass Drum Technician
Jon is a 5th year Biochemistry major at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jon has played with the IUP percussion studio and IUP marching band the majority of his time at IUP. Outside of school, both Bellefonte High School and IUP ensembles, Jon has marched WGI with Nomad Indoor, an A Class independent WGI group in 2018 and 2019, and Cap City Percussion, a World Class independent WGI group in 2020 and 2021. Jon volunteers every so often at different high schools to teach bass drum technique around the state, but also had a teaching position at Homer-Center’s Indoor Percussion program.
