There are lots of ways you can be involved in the GS Marching Band! The most visual sections of the band make up the GS Band Front: the Colorguard, the Majorettes and the Dance Team. To become a member of one of these sections, you need to attend auditions. The dates, times and locations are listed below:
Colorguard
Instructor — Amanda Neely
Practice for tryouts will be held Monday-Wednesday, May 12-14 from 3-5:30 PM in the GSHS Gymnasium
Tryouts will be held Thursday, May 15 from 3-5:30 PM in the GSHS Gymnasium
Dance Team
Instructor — Rachael Petrill
Practice for tryouts will be held Monday and Tuesday, May 19 and 20 from 3-4 PM in the GSHS Gymnasium
Tryouts will be held Tuesday, May 20 from 4-5:30 PM and Wednesday, May 21 from 3-4:30 PM. Students only need to attend ONE of the auditions.
Majorettes
Instructor — Rachele Gentile
Practice for tryouts will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20 and 21 from 3:30-5:15 PM in the GSHS Auditorium lobby
Tryouts will be held Thursday, May 22 from 3:30-5:30 PM in the GSHS Auditorium
